WINTERHALTER SHOWS HOW SAVING THE EARTH CAN SAVE MONEY AT THIS YEAR’S RESTAURANT SHOW

The latest passthrough dishwashers and more will be on show

2nd-4th October 203, Stand UH03, London Olympia

Winterhalter will be at this year’s Restaurant Show in Olympia, London showing off the latest models in its range of dishwashers and demonstrating how their energy efficient operation can improve sustainability in a number of ways.

Visitors to stand UH03 will get the chance to get up close and personal with the latest model of the Winterhalter PT passthrough dishwasher. This has been designed to offer significant energy savings.

Dishwashers, glass washers and utensil washers are big users of energy, water and chemicals.  Investing in more efficient machines is not just better for the planet, it helps to lower running costs too.  The Carbon Trust knows, through their work with Winterhalter, that 85% of the lifetime cost of a warewasher is the cost of running it – only 15% is the buying price and servicing.

Winterhalter has developed new technologies that minimise the use of energy, water and chemicals.

All its PT passthrough and UC undercounter dishwashers have heat exchangers as standard, saving 10% or more on energy. Smart rinse systems reduce energy and water consumption, while sophisticated filtration systems ensure sparkling results while cutting water, chemical and energy use.  Ultra-efficient insulation keeps heat inside the machine, further reducing the need for power.  Even the wash arms have been designed to minimise consumption while maximising cleaning power.

The PT Climate Plus includes even more features designed to reduce energy consumption. It recycles heat not just from the waste water and steam generated during the wash, but also by extracting hot air from the kitchen.  By recycling this waste heat, it can slash energy costs by an incredible 50% or more.  Plus, it pumps cool, dry air back into the kitchen – improving the work environment for staff.

Visitors can also learn about Winterhalter’s finance options including leasing, hire purchase and renting, that make it simple and affordable for businesses to get the products they need. They can also discuss the company’s innovative Pay Per Wash package, whereby the machine is free, and the scheme covers service and chemicals, too.  The user simply pays for wash credits, online or by phone, and then uses them ‘per wash.’  If the machine is not being used, then there’s no cost at all.

Expert advisers will be on hand throughout the show to discuss all aspects of warewashing – including saving costs, saving time and helping save the planet!
